Paid Internships

Being an Intern is a fantastic way to obtain practical work experience that helps you make more informed choices about your future career, whether you’re supporting our strategy for development, community engagement, or social responsibility.

Our paid internships are geared towards college leavers and university graduates – they’ll enhance your employability by helping you develop the skills and competencies that employers look for.

As a paid intern you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about your chosen field of work, and decide if this is the right path for you, most importantly allowing you to enhance your knowledge and experience during your time here.

You’ll earn up to £12,000 on a fixed term basis up to for a maximum period of 12-months period.

As an apprentice, you’ll gain valuable work experience and achieve a nationally recognised qualification – and earn money at the same time. There are 3 levels of apprenticeships you can apply for - Intermediate (Level 2), Advanced (Level 3) and Higher (up to Level 7).

NCS Programme

NCS is an exciting national programme that brings together young people from diverse backgrounds, providing them with amazing skills for the future, a chance to make a difference in the world and an awesome summer!

We are recruiting Team Leaders and Youth Support Workers to deliver Summer 2018 National Citizen Service (NCS) to young people from across Essex. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to earn between £1,350 - £3,670 (dependent on role type and length of programme)

Ideally you will be qualified at Level 2 or above in a JNC recognised Youth Work Qualification or have experience of working with young people which may be in a voluntary role

Step 1: Online Application

You can complete a quick online application with us by either uploading your CV or completing an online application form. You will receive a confirmation email to let you know we have your application.

Step 2: Shortlisting

Once our advertising process has finished, we will review our applications and let you know if we would like to invite you to an interview.  At this stage you may also be invited to join our talent pool where you will receive updates on future opportunities with us.

Step 3: Interview and assessment

The interview and assessment process could take many forms, dependent on the role you are applying for but the recruitment team will always let you know what to expect.

Step 4: Decision

Within a week of your assessment we’ll be able to let you know whether you’ve been successful in applying for a role with us.

Step 5: Compliance safeguarding checks

Once you have been offered a role we will invite you to meet with us to start your pre-employment checks.
