Employee photoshoot – Behind the scenes

Our Strategic Resourcing Partner’s have been working hard on a recent brand refresh, and organising a photoshoot featuring members of staff. We’d like to take the time to look at the process taken to achieve our new branding.

We teamed up with our media partner to refresh our Employee Value Proposition (EVP), with the idea of using the images on our websites, promotional materials and facilities across the county.

Below are some images and quotes from our staff’s experience of the day:

Photography setup prior to the shoot.

Photos were taken as individuals and also in groups. Beverley, who had appeared in the previous photoshoot, had this to say:

“Tuesday was a lovely experience, coming down to County Hall, to take part in the Employee Value Proposition photoshoot. Meeting many other colleagues showed how seriously ECC are in being diverse and inclusive. The fact the photographer recognised me from the first photoshoot two years ago, was a great bonus. Colleagues behind the camera told me how they ‘recognised my pose’ from the current job site, and calling me the ‘poster girl’ certainly made one feel extremely welcome.”

We felt it was important to showcase the diversity and range of different backgrounds who make up our organisation. ECC’s workforce are one that we are so proud of.

Jonathan Younger, representing Children & Families, discussed his experience with us:

“It was a lot of fun, and the team were great at making me feel comfortable – as it can always be a bit awkward to get your photo taken, a bit like a school photo day.

I love the idea of colleagues of all levels of seniority and walks of life being involved in the project to better represent our workforce.”

We spoke with Ellie Lamb, representing People & Transformation, and gained her thoughts on the day:

“The day was really good and very well organised, it was lovely to do something different and step outside of my comfort zone. I met so many different colleagues across a number of functions and it was an excellent opportunity to network.”

It was lovely to do something different and step outside of my comfort zone.

We look forward to seeing the final images – stay tuned to see the outcome of our fantastic photoshoot!
