Essex Care Association (ECA) is a well-established not-for-profit organisation, we represent the aims and interests of Social Care providers across Essex, Southend and Thurrock. We have over 200 members and are still growing. We support our members to understand the key issues which affect them, the impact of legislative and regulatory changes as well as the development of best practice.

We offer our members a range of services to support them, providing a mutual support network. We recognise that the workforce is key to our members, set against an increasingly challenging talent shortage across the care sector nationally. 

We are looking for an experienced Workforce Project Manager to support local social care providers to recruit, train and retain a skilled workforce. You will provide direct support as well as acting as a resource and help to promote a positive image of the sector. You will link effectively with partner agencies, especially Local Authorities, Health organisations and Skills for Care, building positive relationships.

We are looking for someone who has good knowledge of the care sector and/or training and recruitment. We need someone who is an accomplished communicator, relationship builder and a hands-on content creator with the ability to further develop digital/social media recruitment approaches with social care providers. We are a small team and we need you to be happy to work on your own initiative to deliver an agreed work plan as well as help develop the direction of this work.

You will be able to use your experience and understanding to provide effective recruitment support to our members and deliver tangible outcomes against their workforce challenges.

Initially for a 1-year fixed-term period, with funding from Essex County Council. There may be scope to extend the post subject to the impact we can demonstrate. The post-holder will need to be able to engage with providers across our area so applicants would need to either be able to drive or make alternative arrangements to undertake site visits across the County.
