Support Worker – Maison Care – Garden Cottages
£10.30 to £11 per hour

Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Maison Care to recruit Support Worker for their supported living facility, Garden Cottages.
The shift pattern for this position is from 8am to 8pm.
Salary will be paid between £10.30 to £11.00 depending on experience.
Maison Care, founded in 1990, is a specialist and residential provision for adults with autism and learning difficulties. Additional complex needs, health related needs and challenging behaviour supported. Our person-centred plans of care and support are based on the assessed needs of each individual and promote the principles of an ‘ordinary life’, raising aspirations and the feeling of self-worth.
Garden Cottages are purpose-built bungalows, designed to meet the needs of the service users, whilst retaining a comfortable homely atmosphere. Garden Cottages is a well-established service that provides excellent opportunities for social inclusion and community access; the home has a fun, lively atmosphere and the people living there are encouraged to engage in a full programme of person-centred activities, including educational opportunities, with excellent links to local services. There is a long–standing and dedicated team who strive for innovation and continuous improvement in delivering the best outcomes for the service users.
We are looking for a kind, compassionate person to join our team who understands complex behaviour and who thrives in this environment. This role will involve supporting a service user on a 2:1 basis, 24 hours a day which means you are part of a friendly team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a difference in this person's life and help them to reach their full potential. Garden cottages are built to a high specification, with a modern and clean environment. We take cleanliness very seriously. A tidy house is a happy house.
Every shift is different at Maison Care! Our team are friendly, welcoming, and positive and this reflects in the care we deliver. We value input from our team and are striving to find ways to improve our service to benefit the people we support. Experience in complex and challenging behaviour is essential but full training will be given. Rotas are issued in advance ensuring a good work/home life ratio.

As part of employment should your role require a DBS check you will be required to register with the DBS update service. The DBS update service ensures all registered DBS certificates are kept up to date and allows authorised parties to view the status of your certificate.
