Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Hamelin Trust to recruit a Senior Support Worker.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, shift patterns vary and will require weekend working. Shift times can be discussed at interview stage

Hamelin Trust is a local registered charity supporting people with learning disabilities (including those with other physical and sensory impairments), providing person-centred care and support to adults and children through their various services.

As part of the amalgamation of day opportunities and community support, Hamelin Trust are recruiting to the role of a full time Senior Support Worker. The role will be based out of Billericay in the Learning Studio team and will also require regular working at Roots and Shoots, our gardening and nature project on the Sutton Bridge site in Rochford.

As a senior support worker, you will provide a high standard of care and support to clients, promoting their independence and ensuring they have the best quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Division Leaders and the management team with the development, coordination, and growth of community services
  • Ensuring that the personal values, wishes and aspirations of people are respected, and that people are supported in maintaining dignity and respect in all areas of their lives
  • Delivery of meaningful, innovative daily activity sessions plus learning experiences to service users to maintain and develop an individual’s skills and assist them with achieving identified, agreed outcomes
  • Supporting people in all aspects of their personal care
  • Ensuring that the personal values, wishes and aspirations of people are respected, and that people are supported in maintaining dignity and respect in all areas of their lives
  • Candidates should have experience working with people with learning disabilities, ideally within a team leading role.
