Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Doris Jones to recruit Home Care Assistants for their home care service around Southend.

The shift patterns vary with both full time and part time hours available and will require day, evening and weekend working. Shift times can be discussed at interview stage.

Doris Jones understands the importance of balancing the care and support their service users depend upon, with gentle guidance on how to be as physically independent as they can. By combining traditional care services with expertise in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, Doris Jones can help their service users gain greater control over their lives and stay safely in the place they are happiest. There are only a handful of homecare providers in the Southend-On-Sea area rated outstanding by the CQC and Doris Jones are the biggest.

Doris Jones are looking to recruit Home Care Assistants to join their team to help frail and elderly people live safely and independently in the place they’re happiest – their own home.

Responsibilities:  

  • Washing and dressing clients
  • Assisting with medication
  • Helping prepare meals
  • Attending appointments with clients
  • Supporting with shopping
  • Encouraging trips out

Please note as this is a home care role, applicants will need to have a full driver’s licence and access to their own vehicle.

As part of employment should your role require a DBS check you will be required to register with the DBS update service. The DBS update service ensures all registered DBS certificates are kept up to date and allows authorised parties to view the status of your certificate.
