The post would suit applicants who wish to gain further experience of working with students in a classroom setting prior to training as a teacher or pursuing other career options within education.
You need a flexible and cheerful outlook to be successful in your application but in return you will work as part of a fun and energetic team who will support your development every step of the way.

The objective of this EAL Learning Support Assistant / EAL Teaching Assistant role is to help transform learning, aspirations and opportunities for students. You need to employ approaches that build trust through high quality working relationships, engaging students and all those involved in their learning. Looking to instil in them the confidence required to achieve successful outcomes. In this EAL Learning Support Assistant / EAL Teaching Assistant role you will support the learning of individual students in varying age groups.
The Successful EAL Learning Support Assistant / EAL Teaching Assistant
You will need a professional approach and have an empathetic and caring temperament. Flexibility, initiative and the ability to work under the direction of a classroom teacher are essential. Expertise in working with students who have English as an additional language would be highly advantageous.
