Permanent, Full Time
£21,968 to £27,344 Per Annum
Location: Clacton on Sea
Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Tendring District Council as they look to recruit a Communications Assistant.
Exact work location: Clacton Town Hall, Station Road, Clacton On Sea (Hybrid)
Contract type: Permanent
The Role
As a key member of the Communications team, you will be responsible for creating content for the council’s communications, including video for social media channels, and driving forward innovation in this area; as well as flying the council’s drone.
Variety is a fact of life for the Communications team – one day you could be recording a fun video for social media at the Clacton Airshow, and the next writing a formal press release about the Council’s budget.

Working for Tendring District Council, you will play your part in supporting the local community – in this role by promoting the good work and services we offer to those who use them.
While you will be part of the small and close-knit Communications Team, you will be working closely with services from right across the Council – from our leisure services to housing – and have the opportunity to grow your career in any number of directions.
As well as a competitive salary, you can access a number of benefits – a generous pension scheme, discounted membership at council leisure centres, ample annual leave allowance and learning and development opportunities.
The council also has supportive employment policies and offers flexible working arrangements too.
