Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Caremark Ltd to recruit a Care Manager for their home care service based in East Road Harlow.

Office hours 9am-5pm and overtime as and when needed.

Caremark is an established and highly regarded home care provider offering home care, personal support, home help and companionship services. Caremark home care provides ongoing personal support and assistance for adults in the comfort of their own home as often as it is needed. This could be anything from short daily visits through to 24-hour live-in support.

The Role

As a Care Manager with Caremark your main responsibility is to ensure customers receive the care, they need in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes their independence.

To generate and promote a caring and supportive environment for Caremark’s clients by implementing very high standards of professional care and support. To manage the staff team, supporting their development, skills and abilities.

Responsibilities will include

• Ultimate responsibility for all members of staff.

• To deliver training to staff as appropriate and to identify any further development or training needs.

• To ensure that there is good communication and effective team building amongst all staff, including holding regular team meetings.

• Liaison with clients, relatives, representatives and social workers.

• Ad-hoc cover of the on-call emergency phone

• To actively participate in the growth and development of the business, locally, through various marketing exercises.

About You

Caremark are looking for candidates with Experienced in working in care setting (Residential, Domiciliary, Palliative hospice or hospitals). You will also have excellent knowledge in patient care planning, elderly care, palliative, oncology and dementia support.

You will need to hold a full driving licence.

Educated to a minimum of NVQ level 2/3 health and social care.
