Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Care UK to recruit Care Assistants for their residential care facility, Tall Trees Care Home.

Care UK are looking to recruit Care Assistant for both days and night. Days £9.50 – £9.76 per hour & Nights £10.14 – £10.40 per hour. This role will also require weekend working.

Care UK are the UK's number one independent care provider and have been providing care for over 30 years. They operate throughout the UK providing care for more than 7,000 people in over 100 care homes and day clubs providing expert residential and nursing care.

Tall Trees is a modern, purpose-built care home in a quiet residential area close to the centre of Colchester, Essex. The large team provide personalised nursing and dementia care on a short term (respite) or permanent basis. They also offer compassionate end of life care.

Care UK are looking for Care Assistants to join their fantastic team at Tall Trees Care Home. Who share the same values: care, passion, and teamwork! You will have a passion for helping people when it comes to care and put the residents at the heart of everything you do.

Being a Care Assistant does not just mean helping residents to remain as active and independent as possible while respecting their rights of choice, privacy, and dignity, it means having fun and laughter with them and using your skills to help them deal with day-to-day difficulties like personal care and mealtimes. It also means working as part of a team to identify their unique goals and implement personalised care plans. It also means working flexibly to help them explore new interests, engage in physical exercise and activities and make sure they enjoy themselves in a stimulating and homely environment.

Ideally you have experience of caring and supporting others but not necessarily in a paid role. You may have looked after an elderly relative or friend. More importantly is your kind-hearted nature, belief in teamwork and ability to use your initiative and imagination, follow instructions and prioritise a busy workload. You will be comfortable talking to, and working with, people from different professions, and also be great at keeping records too.
