Please note this role will be predominantly working from home with an expectation to attend an ECC office where required.

Development Opportunities

Increased knowledge of Adult Social Care teams. Potential to be able to work in a specialized area or gaining a number of skills required for Duty Facilitator roles or roles within Social Care Connects. You will have the opportunity to work independently, closely with teams and liaise with internal and external customers.

The role you will play

This is a role for someone looking to progress in their career with ECC. As a Business Support Assistant in this integrated role working with the Countywide Duty Team, your role will include but not be limited to:

  • First point of contact for administration within the team.
  • Handling inbound and outbound calls for the Countywide Duty Team from professionals, care providers, service users etc.
  • Directing calls and work to the appropriate teams/workers.
  • The gathering of information and utilising Mosaic to record information.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and partners.
  • Inbox management.
  • Sending out of information in line with GDPR.

Practicalities

As an anywhere worker you will work standard office working hours Monday to Friday with remote home working if and when possible. Some on-site working at ECC offices where required.

Key Skills and characteristics

  • Mosaic knowledge essential.
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Decision-making skills.
  • Resilience.
  • Experience in inbox management desirable.
  • Good working knowledge of all MS Office, including Outlook, Powerpoint, Teams and Excel.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal and customer communication skills.
  • Ability to use initiative.
  • Attention to detail critical.
  • Customer service experience desirable.
  • Forward-thinking and able to think of ways to improve the service.
