The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Exchequer Team for an Administrative Assistant.

The Role:

Working together with the wider team, you will provide administrative support to the Revenues and Benefits teams.

Experience:

Ideally, you will have some previous experience in an administrative role or be able to evidence transferrable skills.

You will need to have good organisational skills and will also need to have good IT skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy are critical.

In this role the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients and external contractors is crucial. You will need excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.

Accountabilities:

  • Referencing of daily incoming correspondence on behalf of all teams
  • Provide assistance with billing processes
  • Undertake verification of documentation on behalf of the Benefits team
  • Provide scanning duties on behalf of the Revenues & Benefits teams.
  • Provide support with the management of data
  • To support, contribute and comply with quality practises as described within the Corporate Quality Policy and as described by Management.
  • To apply and actively promote the principles of the Council’s Equal Opportunities Policy in all areas of employment and service delivery.
  • Any other associated duties as detailed by the Benefit Manager or their representative.
  • To advise the Line Manager if at any time, the above duties and responsibilities cannot be performed.
